Helping philanthropists achieve their goals
through thoughtful, effective, and efficient giving programs
inspired by Jewish values
Philanthropy Advisors is a confidential donor advisor program
that offers customized information, advice, and services to
assist clients in all aspects of their giving. As an outgrowth
of Foundation Service — a precursor organization founded
in 1984 — we are among the most experienced philanthropic
advisory and management organizations in the country. Our
clients include individuals and families as well as foundations,
trusts, donor-advised funds, and giving circles, Jewish and
non-Jewish.
Philanthropy Advisors designs philanthropic programs and
strategies for clients and briefs them on issues of concern
and personal interest. We work with families to address family-related
philanthropic challenges and offer clients expert guidance
on a variety of governance matters. Finally, we help make
connections between clients’ charitable giving and the
world and identify ways their philanthropy can make truly
significant change. In every case, we work with clients and
their advisors to determine how best to achieve their goals.

Our advisors have expertise in community, Jewish, national,
and global issues. On behalf of our clients, we fund organizations
and programs throughout the United States and abroad, including
Israel, the Former Soviet Union, Ethiopia, and Argentina,
as well as other countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
We are active in the nonprofit and philanthropic communities,
serving on boards, moderating conference panels, providing
technical assistance to grantees, and writing for and about
the field. Our issue expertise includes:
