Ellen Greeley, Program Officer
Ellen Greeley brings to the philanthropic
community extensive knowledge of public sector management
and policy development, having served in high-level positions
in the public sector for almost twenty years. As policy advisor
to the Speaker of the New York City Council and the director
of the Council’s policy think-tank, she was involved
in a broad range of policy initiatives and fiscal review involving
housing, environment, land use, criminal justice, transportation,
and health issues. Ellen specializes in quantitative analysis
for program evaluation, developing and executing survey instruments
and performance indicators.
Ellen is a member of the New York Regional
Association of Grantmakers Family Foundation Network, a trustee
of Temple Israel of Northern Westchester and former president
of the Croton/ Cortlandt Center for the Arts.
Ellen earned an M.S. in Urban and Policy
Sciences and a B.A. in Political Science from the State University
of New York at Stony Brook. Recently, she completed a seminar
on affordable housing at Pace Law School.
